Peck is upping its game in Forte dei Marmi. Last summer’s decision to inaugurate a new quality food and fine wines boutique on the Versilia coast paid off handsomely: in just a few weeks, the new store by the sea won a large, high-profile clientele with its offer of exclusive delicacies and impeccable service.

So this year, the historic Milan-based brand is reinforcing its presence. The new season, running from April, will extend through the fall with the possibility of a reopening at Christmastime that will continue past the Easter vacation. At the same time, Peck will be presenting an even broader selection than before. Beginning with the well-stocked enoteca, which has reserved a rare assortment of hundreds of prized references and precious bottles just for Forte.

And to tickle the most refined palates, gastronomy that delights the eyes first of all. “Cured meats, cheeses, pre-cooked dishes, and fresh pasta are the top-quality products for which we have been internationally-renowned for 140 years,” explains Peck CEO Leone Marzotto. “In Forte dei Marmi, an entire wall is given over to cheeses made by small Italian, French, and Swiss producers. And as ‘Italy’s best charcuterie’, the cured meats we produce in Milan are their own best calling card. The feathers in our cap? Bresaola cured beef, lonzino pork loin, guanciale pork cheek, lard, and pancetta. Plus a notable array of specialty salamis from Italy’s DOP territories of excellence. Ragùs, sauces and oil-packed specialties – including Peck’s famous baby artichokes – are treats introducing new recipes developed for the seaside locale: from arselle pasta sauce to caviar spaghetti. Best sellers include aragostelle crayfish in cocktail sauce, steamed sturgeon and sole, boiled octopus; but also lasagne with meat sauce, eggplant Parmesan, Russian salad, vitello tonnato. For special occasions, Peck offers a concierge delivery service adapted to clients’ individual needs.
