At the Bottega Orafa’s boutique in Forte dei Marmi, which opened last summer and is already a beacon for Versilia’s cosmopolitan public, we are met with a shimmering array of just this sort of jewel. Most are built around diamonds in sophisticated cuts (emerald, marquis, step cuts, and more). One-of-a-kind pieces. “We imagine them and we craft them in Navacchio, near Pisa, where we were born and where we are still headquartered,” continues Citi, the firm’s goldsmith and gemologist who, with his wife Cristiana and children Giorgio and Emma, is this year celebrating the 30th anniversary of his dynamic family maison. “Our only limit is the reach of our dreams. And our strength lies in being able to count on a fully-equipped in-house workshop where our artisans, technicians, and designers work side by side on every piece, from idea through construction. We offer our clients our own creations, but also the opportunity to participate in designing and producing something exclusive and truly tailor-made for them, from the preliminary sketch to the rendering, from the resin model to casting and the final touches. We can take the same route with existing pieces, to update or reinterpret them, should their owner so desire.”
