The fourth color of wine? Orange. While still representing a niche in winemaking, the skin-contact whites (in the photo the 2020 “Rukh” from the Nove Lune winery in Bergamo) are in fact spreading among an increasingly wider audience of wine lovers, especially young and urban ones. So much so that the latest edition of Vinitaly dedicated a masterclass to orange wines followed by a walk around tasting of 38 producers selected from 7 countries. Isola, in Slovenia, celebrates these wines every year with a special festival.
