In Versilia, a posto is a familiar place. Where we know we’re at home, where we see something of ourselves. And so, starting with the name, Simone Andreano has gathered up the identity of Pietrasanta in his restaurant. An identity that owes much to the work of virtuous local artisans.

The birthplace of Giosuè Carducci and a nurturing mother to the many artists who gravitate here, to her marble workshops and her foundries, Pietrasanta is also a daughter, open to the future. Much like this restaurant just outside the city gates, where we can enjoy a red snapper baked with mixed vegetables as an alternative to braised pork cheek with saffron mashed potatoes; and pasta risottata – spaghetti aglio, olio e peperoncino – with tuna tartare, as an alternative to tagliolini noodles with seasonal truffles. The menu is reassuring, framed to make guests feel welcome in an atmosphere rich in suggestion – not unexpected in the city with the highest density of art galleries in Versilia!caratteristica propria della città con la più alta concentrazione di gallerie d’arte in Versilia.
